Whistleblower Statement

Last updated December 17, 2023 - At LiveEO, we are committed to ethical conduct and transparency in our operations. Our Whistleblower statement is a testament to this commitment. It enables and protects those who report any unlawful or unethical practices within our organization.
This statement reinforces our commitment to fostering a responsible and honest reporting environment in alignment with the Hinweisgeberschutzgesetz (Whistleblower Protection Act) of May 31, 2023. This act legislates the protection of individuals who, in their professional capacity or in anticipation of such, acquire information about violations and report them to designated authorities. Additionally, the law safeguards those who are the subject of such reports or are otherwise affected by them. It covers disclosures concerning penalizable offenses and regulatory breaches, particularly those that impact life, health, and employee rights, implementing Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and Council from 23 October 2019 on the protection of persons reporting breaches of Union law.

Purpose
This statement aims to encourage and enable employees and others to raise serious concerns within LiveEO prior to seeking resolution outside.

Scope
This statement applies to all employees, contractors, and volunteers of LiveEO.

Confidentiality
Whistleblower identities will be kept confidential to the extent possible, consistent with the need to conduct an adequate investigation.

Reporting Concerns
Whistleblowers are encouraged to report any evidence of activity by LiveEO or its employees that may constitute:

  • Illegal conduct
  • Financial mismanagement
  • Endangerment to public health or safety
  • Violation of LiveEO´s policies

Protection from Retaliation
LiveEO prohibits retaliation against whistleblowers with the intent of adhering to all applicable laws protecting whistleblowers from retaliation.

Accuracy of Information
When submitting a report under this statement, you must ensure that the information provided is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge. It is essential that at the time of your report, you do not intentionally or knowingly submit false or misleading information.

Reasonable Grounds for Belief
It is expected that at the time of making a report, you have reasonable grounds to believe that the information you are reporting is true. This belief should be based on the facts available to you, and the information reported should fall within the scope of the aforementioned Directive. This statement reinforces our commitment to fostering a responsible and honest reporting environment. It is essential for maintaining the integrity of our whistleblowing process and upholding the standards of ethical conduct within LiveEO.

There are no excemptions to the statement.

Enforcment & Violation

The COO is responsible for enforcement of this statement. LiveEO will investigate any reported violations and will take appropriate remedial action if warranted.
